Terms of Service

1. The Service

baseclef is a tool for bands to coordinate availability, calendars, chat, files and shared finances. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use baseclef. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you add to baseclef (messages, files, events, financial records and so on). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and your bandmates. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law, or infringe others' rights, using the Service;
• upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, attack or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• harass, abuse or harm other users;
• scrape, resell or misuse the Service or other users' data.

5. Shared finances

baseclef's money features help you record and split expenses and income for convenience. They are a bookkeeping aid only — baseclef does not process payments, hold funds, or provide financial advice. You are responsible for actually settling amounts between bandmates.

6. Fees

baseclef is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we'll give you notice and you can choose whether to continue.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (such as hosting, storage and address autocomplete). Their availability is outside our control, and your use of those features is subject to their terms.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, baseclef and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

10. Termination

You can stop using baseclef and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, unless mandatory local law in your country of residence applies.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
